Initiatives are projects dedicated to changing practice through the development and application of new methodologies.

As a training and research center which partners with practicing professionals and outside organizations, the Architectural Conservation Laboratory allows affiliated students and faculty the unique opportunity to conduct detailed inquiries into a breadth of conservation issues. Through the Publications Initiative, the results of this original research are being made available to the general public.

The Web Based Initiative is based on the belief that innovative thinking leads to creative problem solving and ultimately allows professionals to interact with their subject and others in significant ways.
